Livro de Reclamações Online (Online Complaints Book)

Submit an online complaint against any company or service provider in Portugal. The Electronic Complaints Book is free and the company is obliged to respond.

What you need before you start

  • Complainant's personal details (name, NIF, address, email)
  • Company/establishment identification (name, address or NIF)
  • Detailed description of the problem
  • Supporting documents (invoices, contracts, photographs — optional)

Step by step

  1. Go to www.livroreclamacoes.pt

  2. Click 'Fazer Reclamação' (Make a Complaint) and choose the profile 'Consumidor/Utente' (Consumer/User)

  3. Search for the company by name, NIF or location

  4. Fill in your personal and contact details

  5. Describe the situation in detail (what happened, when and where)

  6. Attach supporting documents if available

  7. Submit the complaint — you receive a confirmation email

  8. The company has 15 business days to respond; the regulatory authority is also notified
