Passaporte Português (Portuguese Passport)

What you need before you start
- Valid Cartão de Cidadão (Citizen Card)
- Recent passport-style photographs (2 photos, white background)
- Previous passport (if renewing)
- Issuance fee (approximately €65 — urgent: €95)
- Prior appointment
Step by step
Book an appointment at siga.marcacaodeatendimento.pt (IRN)
Go to the Registry Office or Loja do Cidadão on the scheduled date
Present your Citizen Card, photographs and previous passport
Pay the issuance fee
The passport is ready in approximately 10 business days
For urgent: delivered on the same day or next day (higher fee)
Collect the passport in person or authorise a third party with power of attorney
